About us

BookaTaxi is an independent guide that explains, city by city, how to book a taxi in Italy: the radio taxi number, the apps that actually work, fixed airport fares, and practical tips (ZTL zones, taxi ranks, transfers). The goal is to get you into a taxi in a few seconds, with no surprises — especially useful for visitors arriving from abroad.

How we verify our numbers

Every city page is checked against primary sources, in this order:

When we confirm a number, the city page includes a “Sources” section with the links we used. If a number can't be confirmed from a reliable source, we label it “pending verification” rather than presenting it as certain. We deliberately exclude aggregators and social media as sources.

We currently cover Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Campania, Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Sicily, Puglia, Aosta Valley, Marche, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Sardinia, Trentino-South Tyrol, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Molise: 183 of 207 cities verified. Last checked: July 14, 2026.

Updates

Phone numbers, app availability, and fares change over time: we review the data periodically and note the date of the last check on every page. If you spot something wrong or missing, let us know: we'll fix it quickly.

Independence and transparency

BookaTaxi is free to use. Some links to transfers, tours, or apps may be sponsored or affiliate links that earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you; this doesn't influence the numbers, fares, or recommendations, which remain based solely on our sources. Details in our privacy policy.
