Taxis in Veneto

In Veneto, taxis are booked by radiotaxi (phone) or app. Venezia is a special case: the historic centre is entirely pedestrian, and vehicles, including taxis, can only reach as far as Piazzale Roma, from where you continue by vaporetto (public water bus) or taxi acqueo (water taxi). In Verona and the region's other cities, the standard Italian rules apply instead: no UberX, and ZTL (limited-traffic zones) in historic centres.
